My work has never fit neatly into one category and I’ve realized that’s the point.
Nearly twenty years across hospitality, gatherings, interiors, styling and floral artistry have taught me to see beyond how something looks. I notice how people move through a space, where they gather, what draws them in and the details they remember long after they leave.

A collected family cabin in the Smoky Mountains — and the first property where every part of the ALD point of view gets to live under one roof.INTERIORS. HOSPITALITY. STORY. GUEST EXPERIENCE. FAMILY.
We’re reimagining this 1980s cabin into a place made for slow mornings, tired kids after Dollywood, games upstairs, coffee by the windows and weekends families talk about long after they leave.
It’s also the beginning of something bigger: a living example of the kind of hospitality I want to create more of.

THE ALD COLLECTION
I’m interested in building a small collection of really special places to stay.
Not hundreds of properties. Not cookie-cutter vacation rentals.
A handful of distinctive stays shaped by strong design, genuine hospitality and the details that make a place feel entirely its own.
For a select number of properties, my work may continue beyond the initial design through ongoing creative direction and inclusion in the ALD Collection.

MEET THE FOUNDER
Long before Alissa Lawton Design became a studio, I was learning how to make people feel cared for.
My career began in hospitality, then unfolded through thirteen years of luxury weddings and events before expanding into interiors, styling and floral artistry.
Along the way, I learned that the spaces people remember most are rarely just beautiful. They make you feel welcomed. Comfortable. Connected. Like someone thought about you before you arrived.
Today, all of those experiences come together here.
