The Intention
For Perenn in Franklin, Tennessee, I wanted the holiday installation to reflect the same care that goes into its food: European roots, recipes made from scratch, and thoughtful attention to the ingredients.
The restaurant’s cuisine became my starting point. Incorporating food elements into the seasonal design was an ode to the kitchen, a way to connect the Christmas welcome with the experience guests come to enjoy.
My hope was to create something that felt personal to Perenn, carrying its warmth and character to the very first moment of arrival.
The Design
An English countryside Christmas inspired the installation, with natural textures and food elements bringing warmth, abundance, and a sense of tradition to the Franklin space.
Pomegranates and pears nestled into layered evergreen garlands brought the culinary reference into view. Magnolia leaves and fine branching stems added texture and movement around the entrance. The installation continued onto a vintage green Land Rover, carrying the English countryside character beyond the doorway.
Like the ingredients in a scratch-made recipe, each element had a part to play. Together, they created a seasonal welcome shaped by the setting and the care behind everything Perenn makes.
